About Laura
Hi! I’m Laura, and I’ve been studying and speaking French for over 10 years. What started as a school subject eventually became a gateway to seeing the world — from studying overseas to experiencing life at a French high school. I love traveling, and being able to speak the local language has made my experiences so much more interesting and rewarding.
My own French learning journey wasn’t always easy. I had a rocky start, with inconsistent teachers, limited opportunities to speak, and classroom disruptions, and I remember how overwhelming learning a new language could feel. That experience showed me just how much of a difference a good teacher can make to a student’s confidence, motivation, and enjoyment.
I went on to study Advanced French at university, alongside my Communication degree, and graduated as Valedictorian. I now want to share my love of French with my students and help them develop the confidence, skills, and enjoyment that can open up the same opportunities for them.

I love making French feel approachable, enjoyable and genuinely useful. Having studied the cognitive science and psychology behind language learning, I combine the techniques I’ve found most effective with a personalised approach for each student. My goal is to make learning French feel rewarding while helping students build confidence and lasting skills.
