About Merlin
Refining double stops and scales and arpeggios remains central to the rigorous technical foundation I provide for my pupils. Shifting positions and ear training also form the core of how I approach the instrument during our time together.
Developing mastery over classical repertoire through vibrato and intonation is a challenge I enjoy. Over 12 years, I have helped 9.0 out of 10 students navigate these specific demands with clarity.

Pedagogical integrity matters more than speed in my studio. It is a quiet truth that technical foundation dictates musical freedom.
My lessons incorporate my Diploma training from the New England Conservatory into every minute. We focus on complex shifts and pure intonation.
I assess your ear training and double stops constantly. Classical repertoire serves as our primary vehicle for growth. The work is demanding but deeply rewarding for dedicated violinists.
