About Lynn

For the past 6 years, I have been fully devoted to teaching the saxophone to high school and college students, helping more than 300 learners discover the joy of music. I entered the field of tutoring with a deep love for education and a strong belief that music has the power to shape confidence, discipline, and creativity. What started as a personal passion soon became a meaningful career. One of my biggest achievements has been seeing shy beginners turn into confident performers ready to play in front of an audience. Several of my students have successfully cleared music exams, joined school and college bands, and performed in public concerts. These moments stand as some of the most proud milestones of my teaching journey. My teaching style is simple, patient, and student-centred. I focus on clear fundamentals, rhythm control, breathing, tone quality, and music reading skills. I also believe that motivation is key to success, so I work closely with each student to understand their goals and guide them step by step. I aim to create a learning space where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to give their best. Teaching saxophone is not just about music for me—it is about shaping strong, confident individuals.

About the lesson

My saxophone teaching is simple, practical, and student-focused. I strongly believe that communication helps students learn faster. I always explain techniques clearly and encourage students to ask questions without fear. I make sure every student feels comfortable and confident during class. Accountability is important for steady improvement. I guide students to follow a regular practice routine and take responsibility for their learning. I provide weekly tasks, performance checks, and regular feedback so students know where they are improving and where they need more effort. Integrity is the foundation of my teaching. I teach students to respect music, their instrument, and their learning journey. I focus on clean tone, correct posture, breath control, finger movement, and timing from the very beginning. Step by step, I introduce scales, songs, sight reading, and performance skills. Along with saxophone, I also teach music theory, rhythm training, and basic recording skills. My goal is not just to teach notes, but to build confident musicians who enjoy learning and playing music with honesty and passion.
