About Raphael

I have been tutoring students of all grade levels (K-12 and University) for the past 4-5 years in several different subjects including physics, chemistry, algebra, calculus and differential equations.
I was part of the AVID tutoring program which focused on student Advancement Via Individual Determination.
I am a patient, understanding tutor. I know everyone learns in different ways and I look to enhance that.

About the lesson

I am an Aerospace Engineer currently working for the department of the Navy.
I graduated from Texas A&M University this past May 2020.
I am a patient, understanding tutor. I know everyone learns in different ways and I look to enhance that.
I like to have the student come to the answer rather than just giving it out, thus I ensure the student truly understands the subject. I am here to push you in the right direction, and offer explanation when things are not clear. I like to work out examples and walk you step by step through the process.

Raphael is an incredible math and science tutor! As a junior in high school I struggled in AP Physics, but with his constant help and devotion to my success, I was able to successfully pass the AP Exam and make an A in the class. He is very skilled at explaining complicated concepts in a simple way that makes the subject matter very easy to understand! He devoted countless hours to help me solve practice problems and always made sure that I thoroughly understood the concepts above all else. I would highly recommend Raphael to other Superprof members struggling in math and science, because tutors like him are hard to come across.

My rates will depend on the complexity of the subject and the distance needed to travel. For math and science at the university level (includes calculus and above, and calculus based physics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, chemistry, etc) my rates may be higher.
