About Priscila

I’m Here to Help You Succeed in Math

With over 10 years of experience tutoring students across all levels of mathematics—from algebra and trigonometry to pre-calculus and multi-variable calculus—I’ve had the privilege of helping countless students build a solid foundation in math and achieve their academic goals. As a Mechanical Engineer with a deep understanding of how math applies to real-world problems, I bring a unique perspective to tutoring, showing students not just how to solve problems, but why math is essential in everyday life and in various professional fields.

I understand that math can be challenging, and that’s why my approach is designed to make complex concepts clear and approachable. I’m patient, supportive, and committed to providing a learning experience that’s tailored to your individual needs. Whether you’re preparing for exams, tackling difficult coursework, or simply looking to improve your math skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Why Choose Me as Your Math Tutor?
• Proven Track Record: I’ve worked with students from middle school to university level, helping them not only pass but excel in their math courses.
• Real-World Expertise: As a professional mechanical engineer, I apply math concepts to real-life scenarios, making learning more relevant and engaging. I help you see the big picture, showing how math is used in fields like engineering, physics, and beyond.
• Tailored to You: I believe in personalized tutoring that meets you where you are. Whether you’re mastering algebra or tackling advanced calculus, I adapt each lesson to suit your learning style and pace.
• Clear, Effective Communication: I take pride in explaining complex ideas in simple, digestible terms, ensuring that you always understand the “why” behind every concept. I encourage questions and create an open, supportive environment for learning.

About the lesson

I focus on building a deep understanding of the core concepts first. Instead of rote memorization, I ensure students understand the “why” behind the math principles, which leads to better long-term retention and problem-solving skills

I guide students through problems step by step, ensuring that they understand each phase of the solution process. I encourage students to ask questions and think critically, helping them develop problem-solving skills they can use independently.

I use visual aids, diagrams, and interactive tools to explain complex topics. For example, when teaching calculus or trigonometry, I often use graphs and geometric representations to help students visualize the problem.

I assess progress throughout each lesson with quick checks for understanding. After each lesson, I provide feedback and offer suggestions for improvement, ensuring that students are consistently progressing toward their goals.
