About Kalsoom

About Me

I am a passionate and experienced science tutor specializing in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Science. I have 4+ years of teaching experience and have worked with students from different academic levels and backgrounds.

My teaching approach is focused on making difficult scientific concepts simple, logical and easy to understand. Rather than relying only on memorization, I help students understand why things happen and how to apply their knowledge when solving problems and answering examination questions.

I can support students studying IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level and other secondary-school science programs, whether they need help with a particular topic, regular lessons, homework, revision or complete exam preparation.

I am patient and approachable, and I encourage students to ask questions without hesitation. I adapt my lessons according to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, learning style and academic goals.

My lessons focus on:

* Strong conceptual understanding
* Step-by-step problem solving
* Calculations and scientific reasoning
* Exam preparation and revision
* Past-paper and exam-style questions
* Practical and application-based learning
* Building confidence in science

Whether you are struggling with Physics or Chemistry or simply want to achieve a higher grade, I will work with you step by step to help you reach your academic goals.

Let’s make science easier, clearer and more enjoyable to learn!

How I Teach

I don’t believe in simply memorizing information. I focus on understanding the concept first and then applying it.

A typical lesson may include:

* A quick assessment of your current understanding
* Clear, step-by-step explanation of the topic
* Diagrams and real-life examples
* Worked examples and calculations
* Guided practice
* Exam-style questions
* Identification and correction of mistakes
* Homework or additional practice when required

For exam students, I can also provide focused revision and past-paper sessions, helping you understand mark schemes, improve answer structure, manage calculations, and develop effective examination techniques.

Every lesson is adjusted according to your level, learning speed, goals and areas of difficulty. My aim is to make Physics and Chemistry easier to understand while helping you become more confident and independent in solving questions.
