About Karian
I’m an American English tutor passionate about helping kids and teens build their language skills. Tutoring foreign exchange students was a rewarding experience that sparked my love for teaching. Now, living in the UK, I want to bring my skills here and help children learn in a fun, interactive, and meaningful way. My course is designed to last for 8-12 weeks, with one-hour lessons each week. The course can be adjusted depending on the student’s pace and needs. After completing the course, students will have: • Conversational Skills: Speak confidently in everyday situations, expressing thoughts, feelings, and opinions with ease (improvement of 60-70% in speaking fluency). • Academic Skills: Write clear sentences and paragraphs, and improve reading comprehension (50-60% increase in writing and reading abilities). • Vocabulary: Expand their vocabulary by 100-150 new words, applying them in conversations and writing. • Cultural Awareness: Use polite phrases and understand English-speaking cultural norms (75% improvement in social etiquette). • Overall Fluency: Achieve a 60-70% boost in overall fluency, able to communicate effectively in both casual and academic settings. Teaching Methodology & Techniques: I take a fun and interactive approach to teaching English, making lessons engaging and practical for kids and teens.
