About Gio

Hey, I'm Gio! I am 24 years old, born and raised in Sydney, Australia.

I am currently a professional footballer, and a lover of the piano.

My 19-year piano journey has led me to complete all of my AMEB grades, receive my AMusA and LMusA diplomas in performance, and go on to win multiple eisteddfods and play at numerous recitals. Now, with my experience and passion for music, I want to help develop the next generation of musicians, like YOU!

I know that learning an instrument isn't easy, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun. I am easygoing, understanding, patient, and always willing to listen and learn, and this is what you get from me in my lessons. Feel free to message me any time to see how I can help you!

About the lesson

Ready to take your piano journey to new heights? Whether you are practicing for a performance, exam, competition, or playing just for leisure, I am here to help!

So what does a typical lesson with me look like?
- Technique is the PRIORITY, no matter what! It forms the building blocks with which we can access the wide world of music. So, the first part of our lesson is dedicated to building finger strength, dexterity, and overall technique with scales and other small exercises.
- After we are warm, the bulk of the lesson is dedicated to your repertoire. Here, I sit with you while we work through your pieces, closely analysing and improving any phrasing, dynamics, expression, as well as discussing how the music would most likely be interpreted in line with its genre.
- If time allows, we finish the session with sight reading and aural training. This is especially useful for exam students who are required to perform sight reading and aural exercises in their exams.

1. I must be provided notice of cancellation at least 24 hours before the lesson otherwise I cannot reschedule.

2. If you are close for me to come to, willing to come to my house, or online, there is NO travel fee! Otherwise, depending on where you are situated, there may be a small extra fee.
