When working with primary-age children, I focus on enjoyment and expression alongside accuracy and memory to enhance their ability to gain enjoyment from reading and writing.
With older students up to A-Level I seek to develop the learner's structural understanding of texts through historical context and language which gives them an edge in preparing for standardised assessments.
For university students I work on their analytical skills, supporting them to follow their individual interests and to create unique and engaging research theses.
With every age group, I take a person centred approach, working with the learner to enhance their unique insight and interests, while seeking to manage any gaps and problems they may have.
