About Isabelle

I am a passionate and ambitious tutor. Not only do I provide students with the tools and strategies for academic success, I spark a love of learning and can-do attitude that enables individuals to thrive in the future.

My educational background includes a Bachelors degree in Law from Exeter University (2.1), and a Masters degree in Psychology from St Andrews University. During my education I developed a keen interest for utilising the most effective and enjoyable study techniques, skills which I enjoy passing on to others. I can also share expertise in areas such as essay writing, presenting and research.

Moreover, I have spent three years as a talent consultant teaching executives and CEO's from FTSE 250 companies the best methods to achieve consistent high performance. This unique experience means that even when students are struggling with motivation or focus I can get them back on track.

Lastly, I have experience working with all forms of learners, from children with autism all the way to teenagers and University students. Whatever your starting abilities, I can help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology in a nutshell is tailoring each session to how you learn best, and focusing on the specific content that will enable you to reach your desired goals fastest.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computational Neuroscience, and teach English and Psychology all the way from University Masters level to GCSE.

My lesson plans start with getting to know your aspirations, and setting a roadmap for how we can most effectively achieve your objectives through the tutoring sessions.

I then create each session with your strengths and specific areas of improvement in mind, incorporating engaging and interactive teaching techniques to best help you understand and retain the crucial information and skills required to succeed.

My approach is to make learning fun, and less scary. I want you to come out of the sessions feeling happy and excited about what you can achieve. I love making what you once thought was impossible, a tangible reality that you know how to work towards.

Most importantly our sessions are a safe space. You can share anything that you find confusing and difficult without feeling silly or judged. We've all found it challenging to learn something new at some point, but often with some guidance the mist clears and it all makes sense.
