About Dr Ann
I am a passionate and highly experienced lecturer and tutor in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Cell Biology, Biological Science, Health Studies, Human Biology and Physiology. I am also available for Assignment/Essay Guidance, Proof-Reading and Editing.
With many years experience in teaching, advising and tutoring students of all ages and backgrounds (primary, secondary and university levels) in the above courses/subjects, I believe I know how to help students reach their full potential and academic, personal and professional success. I am particularly specialized in assisting with assignments at Grade11 and 12 levels as well as undergraduate and postgraduate tiers (including Bachelor with Honours, Masters and PhD).
I am a very dedicated, skilled and passionate teacher and these qualities have been recognised by universities as well as the Australian government. I have won a number of national teaching and learning awards and citations throughout my career as a university Associate Professor. My student satisfaction scores have always been in the "excellent to outstanding" categories, and many of my past students are now successful doctors, scientists, teachers, health educators and researchers around the world. I feel honoured and privileged to have helped them on their own unique learning journeys to achieve their school, university and/or career goals.
Dr Ann’s Experience:
1. More than 25 years of experience in teaching anatomy, physiology, cell biology, medical and health sciences, human biology, biomedical and clinical science at the secondary and university (undergraduate and postgraduate) levels.
2. Extensive abilities in university and secondary tutoring with a proven track record of many of my high school and university students achieving academic and professional excellence. Many of my past students are now successful medical doctors, teachers and scientists nationally and internationally (references available).
3. Awarded the Australian University Learning and Teaching National Award (Biological, Biomedical & Health Sciences) through the Australian Federal Government plus an Australian University Teaching National Citation for the contributions and advancement of education in the Biological and Health Sciences.
4. Have received the Griffith University Individual Teacher of the Year Award and have more than five (5) University Faculty Citations in Teaching, Learning and Tutoring.
5. In addition, I have been awarded more than ten (10) Faculty Dean's Commendations in Teaching and Learning.
6. I was made a Fellow of the Griffith Academy of Learning and Teaching Scholars in 2011.
7. Student satisfaction ratings have always been excellent.
