About Yasmine
I'm Yasmine, a qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education (ENS) and three years of classroom experience. Arabic is my mother tongue, and I grew up speaking both Moroccan Darija and French, so I'm used to moving between languages and explaining clearly how they differ.
I also teach English and French professionally, which means I understand the challenges English speakers face when learning Arabic, from new sounds to right-to-left writing. I design all my own lesson materials, and my students value lessons that are organised, patient and genuinely enjoyable.

Every lesson is built around your goals and your level. We begin with a short diagnostic chat so I can understand what you already know, what you'd like to achieve, and which kind of Arabic suits you best.
I teach Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha), the Arabic used in reading, writing, news and exams, as well as Moroccan Darija for anyone who wants to speak with family, friends or colleagues from Morocco.
For complete beginners, we start with the alphabet, letter shapes and sounds, and build steadily towards reading and writing full words and sentences. Many learners find the script intimidating at first, so I break it down step by step with plenty of visual support and practice until it feels natural.
For children from Arabic-speaking families, lessons help turn what they hear at home into real reading, writing and grammar skills, in a warm and encouraging way that keeps them motivated.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I focus on the skills that matter in the exam: vocabulary by topic, verb forms and tenses, reading comprehension, structured writing, and speaking practice.
For adults, lessons are practical and conversation-focused, whether you're learning for work, travel, or to connect with family and culture.
After each lesson you receive a personalised study sheet and recap covering the key vocabulary, grammar and phrases we practised, plus homework matched to your level, so you always know what to revise and can see your progress clearly.
Lessons take place online via webcam, with interactive slides and materials shared on screen.
