I first met Ghazal Baghdadi Khateeb in the fall of 2014 as she was going to tutor me in Modern Standard Arabic. Since the first time I met Ghazal, I have learned a lot and my Arabic has improved substantially. Ghazal is an excellent tutor who explains the meaning of words and phrases and their grammatical compositions clearly and patiently. She is eager to help you learn new vocabulary and to introduce you to Syrian and Arab culture through music, food, movies etc. Ghazal is an excellent teacher with a lot of linguistic knowledge, a patient and positive attitude and a very warm demeanour. I therefore give her my very best recommendations, knowing that she will help many students learn or improve their Arabic.

Ghazal has been tutoring me Arabic now for a number of weeks and I cannot stress enough how helpful her teaching has been for me. Before I met her my spoken ability was very weak and my vocabulary very limited. Yet Ghazal's patience and friendliness meant that after a few sessions I felt my confidence in speaking had rocketed. As well as this, Ghazal tailored our lessons to suit my interests and used a variety of media including articles and videos to lighten up the lessons. This massively improved my vocabulary but also my love for the subject.
