About Arnab

Upon finishing my M.Arch from Unimelb, I joined COX Architecture, where I took significant strides in uplifting my design goals through collaborating on a multitude of high-quality projects. I have listed them below: New Footscray Hospital, Melbourne Airport Rail Link, Level Crossing Removal Projects across Frankston Line (Parkdale Station and Mordialloc Station), Scotch College Senior Boarding and Wesley College Queens Road Premium BTR tower. After finishing my time at COX, I joined ARM Architecture, where I have worked on Concept Design through to Design Development for Waurn Ponds Sports Complex in Geelong. After almost 4 years in the industry, I finally decided to join Construction and am currently working with Multiplex, where I am leading the Building Permits and providing Quality assurance/defects inspection for the New Footscray Hospital. I am in a unique position to help you understand design, from an architect and a builder's perspective.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology mainly focuses on key conceptual aspects, logical reasoning, and detailed design development. I enjoy driving a project through epistemological research and narrative building. Every design has a story, and my job as a tutor is to help you narrate your story to your audience in the most effective illustration.

Perfect! I’ve had a really positive experience learning from Arnab. His teaching methods were always clear and practical, and he explained things in a way that made even complicated ideas much easier to understand. From developing my school design project and improving my software skills to learning how to format drawings properly, our meetings helped me to do much better at uni. Arnab also shared useful advice from his own experience in the industry, which gave me a better understanding of how things work in real projects. Even in the construction unit, his insights made the content more meaningful and easier to apply. Overall, I’ve gained a lot from his support, and it’s definitely improved my skills and confidence as a student.

We have worked together over the course of a month, to help him prepare for his second semester project, which aimed to foster a holistic living environment for a proposed retirement village in Brunswick North.

We touched about many facets of his project, and worked with him to prepare for his final presentation poster.
