About Felicity

My passion for architecture began with an appreciation of how design shapes human experiences and environments. I pursued a B.Arch followed by an M.Arch in Urban Planning, gaining knowledge in both creative and technical aspects of the discipline. Over 10 years, I have mentored students in expressing creativity while understanding structural logic, design processes, and sustainable principles.

I emphasize a holistic, engaging, and flexible teaching approach. Lessons include sketching, modeling, technical explanations, design critiques, and discussions of real-world examples. I encourage students to reflect, experiment, and cultivate their unique design voice while understanding practical considerations.

Outside teaching, I explore architecture through research, urban design projects, and professional practice insights. Sharing this knowledge with students helps them see the relevance and depth of design. Teaching architecture is rewarding because I witness learners develop confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills, preparing them to make thoughtful, impactful contributions to the built environment.

About the lesson

Architecture lessons are most effective when students learn to transform ideas into thoughtful spatial solutions. I cover fundamental and advanced design principles, spatial reasoning, structural analysis, sustainable materials, visual communication, and portfolio development. Each session emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and conceptual clarity, allowing learners to approach design with both imagination and practical strategy. I create a collaborative and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, reflect, and develop confidence in their creative abilities.

Lesson structure adapts to learners’ levels. Beginners focus on proportion, basic sketching, simple layouts, and conceptual understanding. Advanced learners tackle urban planning, sustainable architecture, integrated design projects, and portfolio refinement.
