About Damini

My journey into architecture started with a strong interest in how spaces influence human experience. This curiosity led me to pursue a Master’s in Architecture, where I explored design principles, urban planning, and creative problem solving. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds, helping them understand architecture in a simple and approachable way.

I believe that every student has creative potential, and my role is to guide them in expressing it clearly. My teaching style is patient and supportive, focusing on step-by-step learning. I use sketches, examples, and discussions to make concepts easy to understand. I also encourage students to ask questions and explore their own ideas without hesitation. This creates a comfortable learning space where growth happens naturally.

Outside teaching, I continue to explore architecture through reading, sketching, and studying modern design trends. I enjoy observing how design evolves in real life and sharing those insights with students. Teaching architecture is deeply fulfilling because I get to help learners discover their creative voice and build confidence in their ideas.

About the lesson

Architecture becomes truly engaging when students begin to see how ideas can turn into real, meaningful spaces. In my lessons, I focus on helping learners understand design from the ground up, starting with simple concepts like form, balance, and proportion. I guide students through sketching, observation, and visualisation so they can express their ideas clearly. Each session is calm and structured, allowing learners to explore creativity without pressure. I encourage them to think freely while also understanding the logic behind every design choice. This balance helps build both confidence and clarity over time.

As students progress, lessons become more detailed and practical. Beginners start with basic drawing, shapes, and simple layouts. Intermediate learners move into perspective drawing, material understanding, and spatial organisation. Advanced learners focus on portfolio development, project planning, and presenting ideas effectively. I provide consistent feedback and gentle correction to help students improve steadily. Every lesson includes practice tasks that strengthen both creativity and technical skills.

Architecture also helps learners develop observation, patience, and problem-solving ability. Over time, they begin to notice design in everyday spaces and think more creatively. My goal is to help students grow into confident thinkers who can turn ideas into structured and meaningful designs.
