About Sho

[Japanese Learning is a fun journey!]
Born in the UK and raised in Japan, I am currently studying a Master's degree in Architecture at RCA. I have lived in the UK, Japan and Canada, I have a broad interest, from manga, anime (I created an anime society in UAL ) to my morning calligraphy practice, music, travelling and more!

While Japanese has a reputation for being difficult, my goal is to show you how incredibly rewarding your progress can be. To me, the true beauty of learning a language is the ability to fully connect with and understand someone from a completely different cultural background. Let's make it a fun journey!

About the lesson

Everybody has different ways and goals of learning, and I will find what works best for you. If you already have textbooks such as Genki, I can structure my classes around it based on your level. I tailor my classes to your specific goals, focusing on practical communication and genuine cultural insights. I can also offer a PDF copy if needed!

For example, if you aim to pass JLPT or GCSE, I will structure classes around the textbooks.
If it is to understand manga or anime, we will start reading to understand the grammar, then gradually talk about any topics later on.

We will build your skills step by step, so you always feel a sense of accomplishment.

-Who I Teach: I welcome all ages and levels, from absolute beginners to advanced speakers.

-Location: Lessons are primarily held online for flexibility, though I can arrange in-person sessions in London on a case-by-case basis.

-Lesson Length: Standard classes are 60 minutes, which provides a great balance of focused learning and relaxed conversational practice.
