About Lucas
My fascination with architecture began as a child, observing how well-designed spaces influence mood and human interaction. This passion led me to complete a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Urban Design, providing both technical expertise and creative insight. Over 11 years, I have mentored students at different levels, helping them develop conceptual understanding, design skill, and confidence in their creative expression while fostering a strong foundation in architectural principles.
I adopt a student-centered teaching approach, combining interactive discussion, project-based learning, and iterative feedback. Lessons emphasize visualization, hands-on practice, and real-world application, ensuring students not only understand concepts but can implement them effectively. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and reflective learning to cultivate independent thinking and creativity.
Outside the classroom, I engage with architectural research, urban planning projects, and sustainable design initiatives. Bringing real-world experiences into lessons helps students appreciate practical applications and inspires creative problem solving. Watching learners evolve from tentative sketches to confident, thoughtful design work is immensely rewarding. Supporting their growth as both creative thinkers and technically skilled designers remains my primary motivation and passion.

Architecture transforms when students learn how creative ideas become practical and meaningful spaces. My lessons introduce design principles, spatial reasoning, material selection, environmental sustainability, and visual storytelling, emphasizing hands-on exploration and conceptual clarity. Learners develop an understanding of how aesthetic considerations, structural integrity, and functional requirements intersect to create impactful spaces. I integrate sketches, model building, project analysis, and digital tools to help students translate abstract concepts into tangible design solutions, encouraging experimentation, critical thinking, and creative expression throughout every stage of the learning process.
Lessons are customized according to each student’s level and interests. Beginners focus on foundational skills such as proportion, composition, basic sketching, and simple model construction. Intermediate learners explore 3D modeling, sustainable design principles, spatial problem solving, and portfolio development. Advanced learners refine project presentation, conceptual depth, technical documentation, and professional design thinking. Every session includes iterative feedback, creative exercises, and structured guidance to ensure steady improvement while nurturing a confident, independent design voice.
Architecture education fosters creative, analytical, and emotional growth. Students learn to articulate ideas visually, approach design problems strategically, and appreciate how thoughtful architecture influences human experience. Many gain confidence, observation skills, and a sense of professional responsibility. My goal is to equip learners with the ability to combine technical expertise with artistic vision, empowering them to design spaces that are both imaginative and functional, and to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the transformative power of architecture.
