About Gerald

Instruction encompasses 11 years of professional work across diverse musical settings. My Eastman School of Music MMus degree informs the technical foundations I provide to students ranging from 4-year-old beginners to college prep high schoolers. Students master scales and arpeggios along with grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity boards.

We refine spiccato and staccato bowing while developing left-hand agility and posture. Tuning by ear and ear training sessions strengthen tone production. These skills are built through disciplined work in my Chicago studio.

About the lesson

Feedback is immediate and continuous throughout our 9 minute segments of focused instruction. Precision remains the priority for all 4 year old beginners.

My Eastman School of Music background dictates a rigorous technical path. Parents participate in every step to support technical growth at home.

I record playback of tricky passages to assist your daily home practice. This strategy helps students navigate complex bowing technique and intricate shifting. My 11 years of experience ensures that every small detail receives professional attention. Connecting with young musicians in this way feels incredibly rewarding for me.
