About Selena
Growing up in Trois-Rivières means that French is simply the rhythm of my daily life. Have you ever wondered why certain idioms feel impossible to grasp until you live them? Since finishing my MA in French Literature at NYU, I have spent 12 years helping students navigate everything from travel French to complex verb conjugation.
My approach relies on providing clear cultural context alongside everyday phrases for beginners. I also work with professionals on business French and help candidates prepare for DELF, DALF, and AP French exams. I use my 12 years of teaching in France and Washington DC to keep our time together grounded in reality. Because I hold an MA from NYU, I value structure but prefer to keep our interactions relaxed.
I provide free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes for all my students. We will balance your work on intonation with specific practice on the topics that interest you most. You can expect 10 modules of materials to support your progress as we go. Learning should feel like a genuine exchange of ideas between two peers.
