About DR Arpita
I am Dr. Arpita De. I was awarded with my Ph.D degree in the month of July, 2017. I am presently teaching in Government Science College, Bangalore, India (both UG as well as PG levels) from July, 2019 and Seshadripuram College, Bangalore (PG course). I too have experience in teaching in two different colleges in Kolkata, India (Jogamaya Devi College and Lady Brabourne College) for the past 4.75 years and also have experiences of undertaking projects in Botany. I have experience in teaching Genetics and Cell biology, Phycology, Pathology, Taxonomy,Ecology, Palaeobotany etc. in UG level and Biotechnology, Molecular plant pathology and Cell biology in PG level.
My area of research is Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (in two trophic levels- plants and mammals). A 3 - year UGC Major Project on Phytoremediation has been successfully completed by me. I have multiple number of publications and have experience in delivering lectures in various national and international seminars and have also organized workshops as resource person.

My classes are more like an interactive session. Constant interactions with the students after every discussion/ lesson help in better understanding of the topic. I organize doubt clearing classes after completion of every 3-4 classes. After completion of every chapter I urge on my students to take a short class test to evaluate their own status of preparation. I use power point presentations as well as chalk duster for teaching in my class. I teach in both UG as well as PG standards.
