About Emily (Exza)
I have enjoyed art since I was able to hold a pencil.
Now, I'm able to do my art and writing on the side of my main job, and earn a portion of my living through doing something I love. While I haven't yet achieved my goal of working on art full-time, I am hopeful that the progress I'm making will bring me there one day.
I enjoy teaching art to people, as I enjoy learning while I teach as well, as any good teacher will tell you; sometimes students teach you alongside what you teach them.
Art is such a flexible and personal thing, so working with anyone - regardless of experience - is always great for artists.
Working in-person would be done in the Nottingham area, though online lessons are also available. I am experienced in a long list of mediums included in art, as I love learning new techniques and materials, and have experience ranging from school, to college, to University and then through to freelance work.
I hope you consider me if you are looking for an art tutor that loves the field they're teaching in, and enjoys working with anyone.
Whether you're confident in your abilities and want a nudge to reach your full potential, or you're just starting out and are nervous about where to start, feel free to get in contact! Lessons can go as fast-paced or as slowed-down as needed, everyone learns differently after all!

In the lessons, we will work through the basics of art to begin with, and then will move more into the chosen field of study, whether it be painting, digital art, or what materials to use.
It's really up to the student on what field of art they'd want to be learning!
A typical lesson will be between 30 minutes, to an hour (Possibly longer if requested!) as art takes a while to teach properly, it's all about practice! So whether it's a simple lesson on brushing up your skills - pun intended - or multiple lessons for a beginner, it's up to you!
I am a freelance artist/writer, so I work on commission mostly. One day I hope to have my own studio to work in and teach in. Majority of my experience has been teaching friends and family, though I have also taught other students as well.
My lessons are for anyone! It really depends on the medium you'd like to learn and if you believe I'm a good fit for you as a tutor. The basics of art are not required, as we will go through that if necessary, so no previous art experience is required.
If you are very skilled in art, and are looking for a few small tips that are in a field you're not as used to, then I can offer that as well. The lessons are flexible and can go at a pace YOU are comfortable with.
Any art level, any age welcome!
