About Svetlana
As a painter, I have over 20 years experience working mostly with acrylic, oil, watercolour, fresco and also less conventional materials such as slate, textured wood, metals, gold/silver leaves, etc… Stylistically my artwork mostly consists of painterly style and realistic classical still life, landscape and interior decoration, although I also have some impressionist works, some abstract compositions, and several mixed media compositions where texture is a main feature. Examples of my artwork can be found online in my website (search for my full name) and in Cambridge Drawing Society’s website. I also have experience teaching painting privately.
As a 3D aimator, I have 5-years experience doing special effects for a post-production studio (for films such as ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Pig in a City’), and videogame character development. I have extensive experience with specialized software such as: Softimage, Maya, 3D Max, Lightwave, Virtools, Amazon, Elastic Reality… I have 3D-animation teaching experience in Cambridge Regional College.

I offer individual and group lessons, for students of ANY AGE AND SKILL LEVEL, at either my home studio in Cambridge or at the student’s home (within cycling distance). ONLINE lessons are also availabe (via Skype/Zoom).
- Painting lessons will involve (according to the student’s interests and abilities): 2D drawing, 3D drawing, proportions and perspective, lighting/shading, mixing colours, composition, use of different materials and techniques, detailed study of old master’s works and techniques, tuning up…
- 3D animation lessons will involve (accordign to the student’s needs): low polygon modelling, understanding of polygonal architecture, lighting/shading, rendering, story board, character design, etc… Software used: 3D Max (ask me if you have a different software in mind).
