It would be better if the first course is taken individually.

One student courses are best for those who wants a thorough follow-up, or who already have a good set of skills.
On the other hand, communicating with other people is always interesting. It helps creating relations which may provide professional opportunities someday. It also is a great way to obtain different types of advices.

I do not recommend remote courses to those who wants to learn traditional drawing. It is possible to do digital art through Microsoft Teams or any other kind of app that enables screen sharing
