About Dorian
I am an artist who produces hyper-realistic paintings and drawings. With over 10 years of experience as a professional artist, I have been commissioned to paint pieces destined to prestigious private collectors such as the Romanian Royal Family, the BBC, as well as numerous other prestigious collectors and art publications. My work has been selected for major exhibitions such as the Royal Institute of Oil Painters 2017 - winning the L. Cornelissen & Son Prize, The Royal Scottish Academy Open 2018, The Art Gemini Prize - winning the Public Choice Award etc.
Overall, my pieces are a part of more than 80 private collections worldwide.
As a tutor, I have taught students of all ages (ranging from 10 to 73), of which five have become full time artists, as a result of their art classes with me. As I believe in a balance between practice and contextual studies, within the classes I teach both the skillset in order to progress as an artist, and put the techniques in context, by studying thepurpose and creative process of influent artists that have had a strong influence on the specific techniques.
