About Sarah
Hi there! My name is Sarah and I am a 28 year old artist and outdoor educator. I have been teaching inside and outside of the classroom for over 10 years now and love every second of it!
I struggled with some learning differences in school, which negatively impacted made my relationship with learning in my early years. I am hoping to help young people stay curious and create a more positive experience with schooling and learning because I was never given that! Learning should feel inspiring and empowering, so I hope to create some of that whenever and wherever I can.
As an adult, I absolutely love reading and writing and learning new things and hope to share my passion with others!

As a neurodivergent human, I always struggled with school and often had poor experiences with teachers not understanding me and the way that I learn. In tutoring, I hope to create a safe and fun environment for young people that is conducive to growth and learning. I aim for students to feel heard and better their relationship with school/learning!
I have the most experience helping with essay writing, proofreading, reading and other forms of writing. I am open to helping any age!
Typical lesson plans include setting goals in the beginning and understanding what each student (and parent/guardian) sees as their intended learning outcomes. Getting to know each student and their learning style and interests is also important! Lessons also include direct instruction and gentle guidance on topics, and can also include activities/projects for students to do in their free time outside of tutoring.
