About Kayla
Hi! I'm a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) in California with a passion for supporting future therapists as they navigate graduate school and begin developing their clinical identity. I know firsthand that MFT programs can be both rewarding and overwhelming, and sometimes having someone to talk through concepts with can make all the difference.
My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. Whether you're working through theories, case conceptualization, treatment planning, clinical documentation, or preparing for exams, I'll meet you where you are and tailor our sessions to your learning style.
I believe the best learning happens through collaboration and curiosity. My approach combines graduate-level knowledge with practical clinical experience, helping you connect what you're learning in the classroom to the realities of working with clients. I look forward to being part of your journey as you grow into a confident, compassionate therapist.

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), I offer a supportive, collaborative space for MFT graduate students to ask questions, build confidence, and strengthen their clinical skills. Every session is tailored to your goals, whether you need help with theories, case conceptualization, treatment planning, clinical documentation, or preparing for exams.
A typical session begins with your questions or the material you'd like to review. Together, we'll break down challenging concepts, apply them to case examples, and end with practical strategies or key takeaways you can use in class, practicum, or future clinical work.
I believe tutoring works best as a conversation, so I encourage you to bring your assignments, notes, and areas of uncertainty. My goal is to help you feel supported, gain confidence, and connect what you're learning in graduate school to real-world clinical practice.
