I am an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry with extensive university teaching and research experience. As an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry, I provide clear, structured, and engaging lessons that connect fundamental concepts with real-world applications in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, petroleum, materials, and environmental science.
My teaching approach combines conceptual explanation, step-by-step problem solving, reaction mechanisms, visual representations, and practical examples. I focus on helping students understand why a chemical reaction occurs rather than simply memorizing reactions and rules. I also adapt my teaching style to each student's academic level, background, and learning needs.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous concepts, followed by an explanation of the new topic using simple examples and reaction schemes. We then work through problems and applications together, with opportunities for the student to ask questions and practice independently. Each lesson concludes with a concise summary and targeted exercises to reinforce understanding.
