About Lauren
Hi! I'm Lauren, an Irish biomedical researcher currently working as an Associate Researcher at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York, where I conduct cancer and immunology research. I graduated with a First-Class Honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Galway, finishing second in my class and receiving the Excellence in Pharmacology Award.
My academic journey and research career have given me extensive experience in biology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, and laboratory techniques, allowing me to connect classroom concepts with real-world scientific research. I am passionate about helping students not only improve their grades but also develop the confidence and critical thinking skills needed to succeed in STEM.
I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and well-prepared for every lesson. I tailor my teaching to each student's individual goals and learning style, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.
