About Valentina

I’m a Law with Politics student at the University of Manchester with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for education and supporting other students.

I achieved an A* in Sociology and have continued to build on my academic and leadership experience since sixth form. I was selected for the Attorney General’s Youth Ambassador Programme, where I worked on a national public legal education campaign and contributed to discussions around access to justice and the rule of law. I have also been involved in youth leadership and mentoring initiatives, giving me valuable experience communicating complex ideas clearly and supporting young people.

I’ve been invited back to my sixth form to support current students with Sociology, including providing exam advice and helping with marking. This experience has strengthened my understanding of what separates a good answer from a high-scoring one and allows me to offer practical, exam-focused guidance based on both my own experience and the skills I’ve developed since.

I’m approachable, encouraging and academically driven, and I want my students to leave every session feeling more confident, capable and prepared to achieve the grades they’re aiming for.

About the lesson

I’ve also been invited back to my sixth form to support current students with exam advice and marking, working alongside an experienced sociology teacher and examiner in this capacity has given me valuable experience in identifying what makes an answer strong and where marks can be gained.
