About Brad

Hello! I’m Brad, I've been in the film and TV industry for over a decade, and Autodesk Maya has been one of my main creative tools all along the way. From feeling so daunted upon first opening Maya over a decade ago - to now working on cool projects like Marvel's "What if?" to bringing beloved characters to life in Lego Batman, Antman, and Spiderman: Homecoming, I've had some incredible adventures with Maya. But it's not just about my journey – I've also had the fantastic opportunity to share my understanding for Maya as an instructor at the University of Technology Sydney and JMC Academy. Teaching others how to unlock the magic of Maya and bring their own creative ideas to life has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. So, whether you're an avid user looking for help with a tricky problem or someone looking to dive into the world of animation for the first time, I'm here to share my experiences and knowledge with you. Let's explore the amazing possibilities of Autodesk Maya together!

About the lesson

I offer 1-hour online video chat lessons tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, I'll aim to help you understand at least one key concept each lesson. We'll share our screens and I'll guide you through the process, either by demonstrating or helping you navigate Maya. By the end of the lesson, you'll have a clear understanding of the concept and be ready to move forward.

When you book, please just let me know a little about where you are at with Maya now, and if there is anything specific you would like me to cover, and I can prepare a lesson for you.

Brad was my lecturer back at uni and was fantastic.
Super nice, helpful and knowledgeable.

I'd learnt a lot from him that I hadn't from others, so can't recommend him enough.
Some things that I had learnt from him in animation and rigging became so clear and simple, I questioned why no one had taught it like this before.

To this day if I'm teaching someone else skills, or reviewing their work, I use what he taught me.

And if I can say so myself I've had a pretty successful career in both freelance work and in studio working on feature films, which in part is thanks to the lessons he taught me.
