About Al
I am a Cartoonist with an Undergrad in Fine Arts. I been making comic books since 2016 for publishers and by self-publishing. I worked at every step of the field: Writing, Drawing, Inking, Lettering, Coloring, Editing, Publishing and Networking.
My book entitled Dark Angels of Darkness, published in 2017 by the Swedish publisher Peow Studio, received a lot of positive press, more than 8 reviews, 5 interviews and 1 nomination at the Canadian Dough Wright Award.
I been working in illustration and animation beforehand and I am currently the editor of a small press publishing project I started. entitled Nouveau Système, specialized in Comic Book Anthologies of Science-Fiction and Fantasy.

I offer a strong guideline of various content by sharing my theoretical understanding of Comic books, its place in Art History, in the working field and in the Artist's life. That way, the student and I, can better understand what inspires him/her exactly and find the better teaching for him/her.
Nonetheless, the essential practical lessons that I give are: study from life, drawing from imagination, the art of sketchbooks, volume and movement, composition, inking, paneling, page layouts and writing.
Art is a long and personal process and should be a positive experience. I want my students to build a strong confidence in their talent by owning smart and useful skills.
While teaching visual communication techniques, I develop a dialogue with my students that allow their subjectivity to not only also flourish, but flourish even more due to the support of timeless tools trade.
