About Steven
I am an English graduate, award-winning author (novels, short stories, poetry, essays) with 30,000 readers worldwide, pioneer of English cell phone novels, and an independent publishing house director from Toronto. I am also working professionally as a human centric product and service designer, graphic and web designer, digital marketing specialist, and content creator. I have been tutoring and teaching Writing, Public Speaking, Digital literature, publishing and English for over 10 years at private institutions and on freelance basis.

I cater my teaching to each student and their strengths and weaknesses, as well as their own interests and personalities. I am highly attuned psychologically to all my students and clients. Through my own personal experience, I've developed strategies to build the foundations to successful English writing, which is first and foremost, critical thinking skills, heightened sensitivity to language and diction, and integrating personal perspectives, convictions and passions no matter what topic or theme in order to empower each piece. While grammar and spelling is absolutely important, the most common issue with students struggling with English writing is the inability to produce ideas, translate and express thought into language, or coherently organize information. I target the core foundation to effective writing. During lessons, I often incorporate the use of technology, multimedia, multidisciplinary exercises, popular culture, current news and affairs, and a globalized view of the world to inspire and spark the writer's soul.
