I'm Ms. Martin, and I'm a brain-teaser-obsessed math coach who loves teaching.
Here's the deal: In our sessions, YOU are the boss. We'll play strategic games, race through challenges, and—my favorite part—you get to be the teacher and explain everything back to me! (Yes, you get to quiz ME.)

Who I Teach: Gifted and advanced students in grades 1–5 who need enrichment, plus high-achievers with minor foundational gaps.
My Method: I use Whole Brain Teaching—lessons are active, visual, and verbal. To lock in basic skills, I use strategic math games (not fillers—deliberate tools for fluency). My signature technique is the "Teach-Back": every student must explain the concept to me like I'm the student. If they can teach it, they own it.
My 50-Minute Lesson Sequence:
1. Warm-up (5 min): Quick game reviewing past skills.
2. New Concept (10 min): 1–2 strategies with manipulatives or stories.
3. Guided Practice (15 min): Work together with constant "why/how" questions.
4. Game Application (15 min): Apply the skill through play.
5. Teach-Back (5 min): Student teaches me the lesson.
6. Wrap-up: 3–5 tailored problems for home.
What Sets Me Apart: I'm a 2012 Teacher of the Year with 10+ years in actual classrooms. I know exactly where 1st graders stumble vs. 5th graders—no guesswork. I also send parents a quick recap after every session so you're always in the loop.
