Background:

Oscar's musical journey began at the age of 12 when he discovered his love for the guitar. Under the mentorship of Mr. Jacky LAU, a highly acclaimed local guitarist, Oscar quickly honed his skills and started actively performing. Despite studying hospitality management, his true calling as a guitar teacher emerged at the young age of 18, when he started teaching as a freelance instructor.

In a bold move, Oscar decided to leave behind a promising career in the hotel industry and fully immerse himself in the world of music. Joining Guitar Concept at 23, he not only became an accomplished teacher and performer but also organized guitar concerts and invited renowned guitarists from around the world, including Don ROSS from Canada, Satoshi GOGO from Japan, and Pierre BENSUSAN from France, to promote and celebrate the guitar culture.

Oscar's insatiable thirst for knowledge led him to understand that music is a lifelong journey of development. Pursuing his second Bachelor's degree in Music Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Tariq HARB, Oscar embraced numerous master classes and music camps hosted by esteemed musicians like Dr. Judicial PERRORY, Dr. Thomas VILOTEAU, Dr. Marco SAN NICOLAS, and Dr. Ingrid RIOLLOT. His dedication and talent were recognized when he graduated with distinction in 2021, winning the 1st prize in the Hong Kong Music Talent Award Competition (Guitar Open Class) and the 3rd prize in the International Fringe Music Festival & Competition (Guitar Open Class).
