About Dylan
I bring nearly a decade of experience as a journalist, public speaker, and communications leader. My work has earned multiple awards, including recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Helen Verba Award. I have led newsrooms, published original writing in the Progenitor Literary Journal, and since 2017 have spoken nationally to teens and young adults through keynotes, panels, and Q&As. These experiences highlight my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and inspire confidence in learners of all backgrounds.

I keep my lessons simple, interactive, and tailored to the student. My method is to break down complex topics into clear, approachable steps and use examples or analogies that make the material easy to connect with.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review, then moves into the day’s main topic, followed by practice or discussion so the student can apply what they’ve learned.
What sets me apart is my background in journalism, public speaking, and nonprofit outreach, which taught me how to explain difficult concepts in a relatable way. I also bring strong communication skills and a calm, encouraging presence that helps students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas.
My lessons are best suited for middle school through college students, as well as adults who want to strengthen skills in writing, public speaking, or media-related areas.
