About Thaveithiny
I am a Criminology student at Toronto Metropolitan University with five years of private tutoring experience. Throughout my university studies, I have developed strong academic writing, research, reading, and critical-thinking skills through completing extensive essays, research papers, and written assignments. I bring this experience into my tutoring by helping students improve their writing, organization, grammar, comprehension, and ability to clearly express their ideas. I am patient, approachable, and dedicated to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their skills. My goal is to help every student become a stronger, more confident, and independent writer.

I provide personalized English tutoring for middle school and high school students, with lessons designed around each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. My approach focuses on making English easier to understand while helping students build confidence in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
Each lesson can begin by reviewing areas the student finds challenging, followed by clear explanations and guided practice. We then work through examples together before allowing the student to apply the skills independently. I also provide helpful feedback so students understand not only what they need to improve, but how they can improve it.
What sets my tutoring apart is my patient and supportive approach. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while learning. Rather than simply giving students answers, I help them understand the reasoning behind their work so they can become more independent and confident learners.
My lessons are suitable for middle school and high school students who want to strengthen their English skills, improve their writing and reading, prepare for assignments and tests, or simply become more confident in the subject.
