About Allison

"With 5 years of experience in teaching and professional work, I have dedicated my life to helping students discover the power of music through the guitar. My journey began when I first picked up the instrument as a young student, and over the years, this passion grew into a career where I could support others in finding their own musical voice. Teaching students from school level to college level has allowed me to understand how different minds learn, and how important encouragement and patience are in the learning process. One of the biggest milestones in my career was realising how much a simple lesson can inspire a student to continue exploring music. I have worked with complete beginners who later performed confidently in school events, and with college students who developed their own musical style. These moments showed me the true value of being a teacher: guiding others to achieve goals they once thought were impossible. My passion for education comes from the belief that learning is more than skill building—it is about developing confidence, creativity, focus, and expression. I always try to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and excited to grow. Whether we are practising basic chords, learning a favourite song, or exploring more advanced techniques, I aim to make every lesson meaningful. Over the 5 years, I have continued learning myself, studying different playing styles, teaching methods, and musical ideas. This helps me bring fresh, engaging content to my students and adapt my lessons to their interests.

I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance, and I am committed to helping them reach their best potential. Teaching guitar is not just my profession—it is my passion, my motivation, and my way of making a positive impact on others. I look forward to guiding more students on their musical journey and helping them discover what music can bring into their lives.

About the lesson

"My teaching style is built on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. When I teach guitar, I focus on helping students feel excited about learning. I start by understanding their goals—whether it is learning chords, fingerstyle, rhythm, or songwriting. I use simple steps so students can see progress fast, which keeps them motivated. Communication is very important in my lessons. I explain every idea in clear, everyday language. I encourage students to ask questions at any time. I also give helpful feedback so they know what to improve and how to practise smarter, not harder. Integrity guides my teaching. I am honest about a student’s progress and always give realistic advice.

I also prepare lessons carefully, making sure each session has value. Creativity is a core part of learning guitar. I use fun exercises like creating short melodies, rhythm games, listening tasks, and simple improvisation. This helps students understand music in a natural and enjoyable way. Besides guitar, I can also teach related subjects such as music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance skills. My goal is to build confidence, musical understanding, and a strong foundation so students can enjoy music for life.
