About Olivia
Hi! I’m Olivia, a qualified English teacher with a strong background in helping students improve their reading, writing, speaking, listening, and analytical skills. I’ve taught English language and literature classes for all ages, so I know how to challenge students while also meeting them exactly where they are. My goal as a tutor is to make English feel clear, approachable, and even enjoyable. I believe that every student is capable of growth with the right guidance and encouragement. My lessons are all about making progress feel achievable, whether that means improving essay structure, boosting reading comprehension, or getting ready for an exam. I take a personalised approach with every student. We start by identifying what you need most help with, then work step-by-step towards your goals using practical strategies, guided practice, and clear feedback. For writing, I help students plan, organise, and edit their work so it actually flows and sounds polished. For reading, I focus on breaking down challenging texts, finding key ideas, and analysing tone and theme, skills that make a big difference in both class and exams. Most of my lessons are 30-60 minutes long, but I can adjust depending on your schedule or goals. Each session has a clear focus and ends with a quick reflection so you know exactly what you’ve improved and what to work on next. I’m a qualified English teacher with experience teaching high school English, university essay writing, English language, and I’ve helped students strengthen their writing, prepare for standardised tests, and build strong academic habits. My lessons are great for secondary and college students, as well as anyone who wants to sharpen their English skills, write stronger essays, or feel more confident in reading and analysis.
