About Laura
Laura is a Portuguese singer-songwriter, based in London. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Popular and Commercial Music from the University of South Wales (2020) and a Master’s degree in Vocal Studies at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (2024). With this, she brings extensive professional performance experience across a variety of settings, including full band productions, solo and acoustic performances, and choral work. She regularly performs at venues and private events, while also working on and releasing her original music.
Through her academic studies and professional experience, Laura can support singers in developing strong technical foundations alongside authentic artistic expression, with a strong focus on stage presence as an integral part of vocal performance. Her versatile background allows her to work effectively with singers from a wide range of musical styles, including pop, rock, hip-hop, Latin, and R&B/soul.
Her teaching combines evidence-based vocal techniques focusing on emotional awareness and muscle tension release, promoting sustainable vocal health, technical growth, and expressive freedom. She integrates contemporary methods such as MDH Breathing, Primal Sound, Estill Voice Method and other modern vocal approaches to tailor each lesson to the individual singer. Whether working with complete beginners or experienced professionals, and with students of all ages, Laura creates a structured and supportive environment where each singer can build confidence, refine their voice, and connect more deeply with their artistry.

As vocal coach, I focus not only on technique, but also on helping students build confidence,
emotional connection, and vocal identity. I believe the voice is more than a technical tool, it is
shaped by personal experiences, and my teaching reflects that. Teaching has strengthened my
understanding of vocal technique, refined my communication skills, and encouraged me to continue
evolving as both an artist and educator.
