About Sam

I am a registered nurse with clinical experience in multiple areas of nursing. I truly value education, & I found studying my Bachelor of Nursing & Clinical Leadership to be extremely fulfilling. Every student should feel supported throughout their education journey, & that is why I find satisfaction in helping students achieve their potential.
Personally, I am an extremely organised person, with a strong attention to detail. However, mainly I pride myself on my respectful, approachable, and calm demeanour, which allows for a students' inquisitive mindset to flourish. I have the ability to break down complex topics into more easily understandable chunks on information, that truly make sense, as opposed to huge amounts of text generally found in textbooks or journal articles.
I truly value communication, & I understand that there may be times when you need to contact me outside of scheduled lessons- I am always happy to assist, in order to avoid any unwanted stress or anxiety. You are capable of smashing your units!

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to you, your desired learning outcomes, & your unique preferences. They can range from 1-2 hours in length, according to your availability. Prior to your lesson, I will be in contact to understand what you want to discuss & work through, so that I can come to the lesson prepared, with relevant & useful material according to your learning style. At the end of the lesson, if you wish to, we can then approach practice questions relating to the topics covered, in order to prepare for assessments.
My online lessons are a safe space for asking questions, discussing complex topics, and talking about real life clinical scenarios, without judgement.
I am able to assist with any units at the Bachelor of Nursing or the Diploma of Nursing level, however I am most interested in anatomy, physiology, psychology, and pathophysiology.
Nursing is a unique, yet challenging profession, & you should be proud of your progress in this field so far. I am passionate about helping students to unlock their full academic potential, to place themselves at the best possible position when entering placements and/or their graduate year. My experience working in acute psychiatric & surgical wards, and the emergency department, paired with my strong academic record, allows me to do so.
