Bachelors of Music from Berklee College of Music with 18 years of piano and voice experience, 10 years of music theory knowledge, and 15 years of musical theater and pop music background.

Maxine has a gift for making connections with her students. I witnessed a first lesson with a shy student and Maxine immediately put her at ease by complimenting her shoes, and the little girl blossomed and came out of her shell and loved her lesson. Maxine is also incredibly knowledgeable about vocal technique and songwriting, and she has a wonderful ability to explain concepts in a way that is easy for students to understand. She is patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping each student grow and become more confident in their abilities.

I had only been singing for about 8 months when I met Maxine. I had little confidence in my voice and hadn’t made really any progress with previous vocal coaches. Maxine created a comfortable and non-judgemental space and really helped me get out of my own head and connect to my voice more. She helped me understand how the voice works and how to sing without straining. She adapted her teaching to my needs and helped me set goals to work towards. She looked at resources outside of our lesson time and would show them to me so we could experiment and see what works for my voice and what doesn’t. I really appreciate the fact that she never forced techniques or things on me, but instead helped me explore and find what works for my voice, and if something didn’t feel right then we’d pause and work through it. I used to have stage freight and a fear of singing in front of people in general, and I’d never even sung on stage before when we met. Now after 1 1/2 years of vocal lessons with Maxine, I’ve performed and sung live on several stages and have learned how to manage and navigate stage freight. My voice has grown so much and my confidence in singing has grown with it. I’m grateful for the support and patience Maxine has given me in our lessons.

Maxine is a very inspirational musician who has been all over the world performing and sharing her love for music. Graduating from one of the best music schools in the world, her range of genres and talent is quite wide. Already a prolific songwriter, Maxine is a teacher that cares for her students deeply and helps them succeed.
