About Riley
I am a pre-Honors Economics student at the University of Sydney with a genuine interest in how economics helps explain real-world decisions, policies and current events.
I achieved a Band 6 in HSC Economics, which inspired me to continue studying the subject at university.
I want to tutor because I understand how overwhelming economics can initially feel, especially when concepts, diagrams and written responses are taught separately. I enjoy helping students connect these areas and reach the point where difficult ideas finally make sense.
As someone who has recently completed the HSC, I can relate to the pressure students face and offer practical guidance and support based on my own experience.
I am friendly, patient and approachable, and I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

My tutoring approach focuses on making economics clear, structured and enjoyable. I utilise real-world examples and relevant diagrams to apply the content with exam-style questions.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether they require help understanding theory, improving written responses, working through calculations or preparing for assessments.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes and includes reviewing previous content, explaining a new concept, completing guided practice and finishing with questions for the student to attempt independently.
I also specialise on teaching students how to structure strong economics responses, as my writing skills are at a high level across all subjects.
