Here’s an example : Recently, I considered redesigning a steel water bottle. When I suggested a triangular shape, I immediately realized it would not be cost-effective for production, given the sharp edges. Considering geometry, I thought about which shape has the most volume relative to surface area and realized it’s a sphere. However, a spherical bottle is impractical to handle, so we typically prefer cylinders, which is why most bottles are cylindrical. Observe, think, and think again—you’ll see that everything connects to mathematics.
