About Luís
I am a professional jazz saxophonist from Portugal with a BA in Songwriting and currently studying Studio Engineering. My passion for the Baritone allows me to explore the deepest parts of the saxophone such as multiphonics and harmonics. I am specialized in improvisation within a vast spectrum of genres.

I have a flexible approach to develop the best qualities of my students, I obviously start with breathing techniques and very early I become a detective for possible hazards and bad habits. In presencial classes I provide a variety of reeds with different strengths, brand and cut but in webcam classes I simply advise some that I find that might suit the setup and the student's confidence/skill. I also provide a reference list of the saxophonists worthy of studying, as well as how to do it and why. Music theory is provided in parallel so that the students feel their foundations solid and stable.
