About Coco

I’m Coco Tomita, a Japanese violinist based in the vibrant musical hubs of London and Berlin. Music has been my life since I picked up the violin at age four. I have had the pleasure of performing solo on stages worldwide—from Suntory Hall in Tokyo to Dubai Opera and with orchestras like the Nagoya Philharmonic and the London Mozart Players.
Beyond performing, I’m deeply committed to teaching. I believe every student has a unique musical voice, and my goal is to help you discover and express yours and give you the right tips for your needs.

Having trained at The Yehudi Menuhin School under inspiring mentors like Natasha Boyarsky and Lutsia Ibragimova, and now studying with Professor Kolja Blacher in Berlin, I’ve learned the value of personalised guidance. My lessons are all about you—your goals, your challenges, your love for music. Whether it’s mastering a tricky technique or finding the soul in a piece, I’m here to guide you with patience and enthusiasm.

About the lesson

I am happy to offer private violin lessons tailored to each student’s unique goals, whether you’re discovering the joy of music or needing advice on the specifics of violin playing. Lessons will be adaptive—focusing on your individual strengths, challenges, and musical aspirations. From refining bowing techniques to exploring nuanced musical interpretation, I provide guidance to help you grow as a musician and performer. I always leave our lessons feeling motivated and inspired. I’d recommend her to anyone.
