About Nkanyezi
I am a young black woman who aspires to be a Tax Attorney. I am driven by ambition and passion in accounting and law and thus my studying of BCom Law allows me to explore both passions.
I am an academic, having matriculated high school with 5 distinctions and my first year at university with 11 distinctions. I am an avid hockey player and debater. I have been in many different choirs since I was in primary school and participated in the Worl Choir Games of 2018. I was also part of the Jeppe High School Pipe Band and participated in the Basel Tattoo in 2018. I have a level 2 in first aid and have had numerous leadership positions in my schooling career.
I have completed over 120 hours of job shadowing, having shadowed Magistrate Zwane at the Protea Magistrate Court and job shadowing a physiotherapist at Queens Haven (a home for the elderly).

I enjoy an interactive teaching style, with students asking questions more than me rambling and reteaching what was tough in class. I find that allowing students to voice their concerns and acknowledge their problem areas helps them identify where they need to concentrate their efforts more and makes them self aware.
All my lessons will be conducted in English and all the material that will be shared (electronically or physically) will also be in English.
I do not believe in spoonfeeding students, and thus I encourage students to do more than what they are given in class. I will be giving students homework and activities to do over and above our lessons as this forces them to practice and engage with the material.
I aim to produce students who understand rather than those who aim to cram, pass and forget. I instil life long lessons and teachings that students will remember further in their schooling careers.
