I am Magnus from Germany. As a native German and student of psychology I am here at Oxford to provide private tuition in German for total beginners up to advanced students of all ages by integrating my expertise in the German language (A-level result A*) socio-cultural experience of living in Germany and psychological aspects of motivation, memorial encoding and mindful language acquisition

My methodology is tailored towards the tutee and the desired objective. Learning correct grammar and extending the tutee´s vocabulary is always embedded in learning to communicate in real life situations and gaining an insight into the diversity of German culture as well asunderstanding the German psyche. As teaching a student who wants to improve his or her grade and linguistically coaching an adult who wants to communicate effectively in oral conversation are two different objectives, I would specifically focus on knowledge necessary for the exam for tutee A whereas I might use role plays or even go on trip to Germany to optimise in vivo communication for learner B.
The concrete goals and individual steps are specified cooperatively at the outest. I am dedicated to giving mindful and constructive feedback and will be happy to teach people of any age, from absolute beginners to those who want to polish up their German in order to excel.
