About Athini
I am a passionate and dedicated Foundation Phase educator with a strong interest in helping young learners build confidence and succeed academically. My journey in education has allowed me to work closely with learners of different abilities, and I take pride in supporting their growth both academically and personally.
I enjoy teaching because I believe that strong foundations in reading, writing, and numeracy are essential for every learner’s future. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where learners feel comfortable and motivated to learn.

I am a qualified Foundation Phase teacher with practical classroom experience teaching learners from Grade R to Grade 6. I specialise in IsiXhosa, English, reading, writing, and basic Mathematics, with a strong focus on building solid foundational skills.
My lessons are structured, engaging, and adapted to each learner’s pace and needs. I use simple, effective teaching strategies to improve reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence, especially for learners who may be struggling.
I create a supportive and positive learning environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making progress. My goal is to help every learner improve academically while developing confidence in their abilities.
