About Benjamin

With 5 years of teaching experience and over 300 students taught, I specialize in flute lessons for high school, college students, and adults. My teaching philosophy is centered on patience, encouragement, and practical learning. I focus on understanding each student’s individual goals and adapting lessons to suit their pace and interests.

My lessons combine music theory, technique, and performance exercises, helping students develop both skill and confidence. Seeing my students perform in concerts and competitions has been one of my most rewarding experiences. I aim to make learning the flute a fun and fulfilling journey, helping students build creativity, expression, and a lifelong love for music.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for flute is practical, student-friendly, and focused on clear communication. I believe students learn best when lessons are easy to understand and connected to real music. I begin by understanding the student’s current level, learning style, and musical goals. Based on this, I adapt my teaching to suit their pace and comfort.

I explain flute fundamentals such as breathing techniques, embouchure, finger positioning, and tone control in simple language. I encourage open communication so students can ask questions and share challenges without hesitation. This helps build confidence and steady progress.

To make learning meaningful, I use real-life musical examples and case studies from performances, recordings, and popular compositions. Students learn how techniques are applied in actual playing situations. This approach helps them remember concepts better and enjoy practice.

Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, scale practice, sight reading, and basic improvisation. I also guide students on effective practice routines and performance preparation. My goal is to help students become confident flute players with strong musical understanding.
